Artist Biography
Hallie is an Irish singer/songwriter/recording artist who crafts emotive, honest, alternative pop with shades of synth pop & art pop.
She began writing poems, lyrics and songs as a personal release since childhood.
Writing music was her lifeline to soothe and channel her life long battle with mental illness, depression, anxiety, chronic illnesses and extreme chronic pain.
Her music and songs were kept private and personal for years.
Despite being a self taught singer/songwriter with no music theory she graduated with a BA Hons Degree in Music (WIT) '15, after completing her first year in BIMM Dublin.
Hallie won the first Golden Discs βGolden Buskerβ Competition '19 winning studio time to record her songs professionally for the first time at The Orchard Recording Studio.
That year she went on to win βBest Original Songβ in the Guinness Singing & Swinging Awards.
She emerged into the Irish music scene in May 2020 with her debut single βFamiliar Placeβ.
Since then she has released four more singles with The Orchard Recording Studio to critical acclaim, with rotation on multiple national/worldwide radio stations.
Hallie has made the βRTE Recommends Playlistβ with all her singles to date.
Stuart Clarke of Hot Press Magazine quote on the Pat Kenny Show - βAdele and Taylor Swift have some serious competition in the shape of Hallieβ βIβm going to go out on a limb and predict she is going to be big, sheβs got everything!β
Stuart Clare on Radio Kerry - βIreland has her Adele!β
Hallie is an avid mental health/chronic pain/chronic illnesses advocate.
She wants to use her platform to raise awareness and remind others who struggle daily that they're not alone.
She was diagnosed with inoperable end stage double jaw joint degenerative disease, debilitating her life/singing after losing hope and the option of getting them replaced.
Hallie wants to keep battling and would rather be in constant pain doing what she loves than not doing it at all.
Despite her challenges, she wants to inspire others to follow their dreams, rewrite music industry norms and fight for what you love even when you have setbacks/disabilities.
